Try to keep at least 50% of your
hard disk with free space. As the hard disk fills with data it takes a
longer time for disk to recover files from its storage, and being the
slowest component of the CPU it will
certainly slow your Pc's performance.

Always remember to backup important files on some kind of safe data storage device. You never know when a file might get accidentally deleted so its best to be prepared.
