This is 32 disks in 1. It will fit on a single DVD due to packing with a special app. Duplicate files are written only once so it will all fit easily. If you need a genuine key, you will need to buy it from Micro$oft.

This is the work of many dedicated souls. The one who put their work all together in this form is called SATHANAS. He was once a member here, but was banned for some reason or other and refuses to return. I agreed to post this for him because I used it and it is totally awesome. If you are a PC tech, you want this. Sathanas asked me to add here that if you have something negative to say about this, other than a bug you found or some legitimate issue, go find something else to do with your time. Nobody cares if you think XP sucks or is worthless. If you don't want this, fine. Don't download it. Move along now.

If you are installing Media Center or Tablet editions and plan to enter a key and activate later, you must enter a key for that version to get it to install at all. If not, you'll end up installing XP Pro. So these keys will work for you to get MCE and Tablet to install, but will not activate:

Okay, here is the answer to the inevitable question, "What is the difference between these?"

First of all, only use Home with the intent of remaining legally licensed in the event you have a Home COA. If you have no license or just don't care, Pro is always better.

Use MCE if you have a PC with a TV tuner card and you want to record live TV, etc. Or again, if you have an MCE license.

Use Tablet with tablets, duh.

You must use the right channel build to ensure it will accept your license key. The 3 channel builds are OEM, retail and corporate.

OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer. If your PC is Dell, HP, IBM, Sony, eg. any brand name system, the license will be OEM. OEM licenses are often purchased by system builders for custom built systems also. If your license is OEM, it should say so on the certificate of authenticity sticker on your PC case. Any OEM key found on a COA sticker can be used to activate an OEM channel build unless that key has been used to activate Windows a maximum number of times. If an OEM key is active on multiple systems, Microsoft can see that and may blacklist the key causing WGA to go off and Windows Updates to be blocked.

Retail is the channel build sold in retail stores. Only retail keys will activate retail builds.

Corporate is a channel build that uses a volume license intended for use in large corporations that require hundreds of PCs to be licensed. They use a single key to activate them all, but the volume license has a maximum number of PCs it can be used on. Corporate channel builds are often used with leaked volume license keys found online to pirate Windows. Such keys are inevitably blacklisted, causing WGA to go off and Windows Updates to be blocked.

Every single one of the 36 separate builds included on this disk contain Microsoft updates through October of 2011.

OEM system locked preinstall activation is used on all the OEM Advanced builds here. The keys used for activation are SLP royalty keys. They will only work for the OEM brand they were intended for, and they will not ever work to activate any version of Windows after it is installed.
A detailed list of supported OEM brands is listed at the bottom of this description.

The Attended with updates builds are untouched with the exception of MS updates. They should be used for doing repair installs or accessing recovery console. They contain no driver packs, text mode driver support,OEM preactivation, added programs or tweaks of any kind. They are as pure as the driven snow.

10 Fast and Free Security Enhancements

There are many precautions you can take that will protect you against the most common threats.

1. Check Windows Update and Office Update regularly (http://office.microsoft.com/productupdates); have your Office CD ready. Windows Me, 2000, and XP users can configure automatic updates. Click on the Automatic Updates tab in the System control panel and choose the appropriate options.

2. Install a personal firewall. Both SyGate (www.sygate.com) and ZoneAlarm (www.zonelabs.com) offer free versions.

3. Install a free spyware blocker. Our Editors' Choice ("Spyware," April 22) was SpyBot Search & Destroy (http://security.kolla.de). SpyBot is also paranoid and ruthless in hunting out tracking cookies.

4. Block pop-up spam messages in Windows NT, 2000, or XP by disabling the Windows Messenger service (this is unrelated to the instant messaging program). Open Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services and you'll see Messenger. Right-click and go to Properties. Set Start-up Type to Disabled and press the Stop button. Bye-bye, spam pop-ups! Any good firewall will also stop them.

5. Use strong passwords and change them periodically. Passwords should have at least seven characters; use letters and numbers and have at least one symbol. A decent example would be f8izKro@l. This will make it much harder for anyone to gain access to your accounts.

6. If you're using Outlook or Outlook Express, use the current version or one with the Outlook Security Update installed. The update and current versions patch numerous vulnerabilities.

7. Buy antivirus software and keep it up to date. If you're not willing to pay, try Grisoft AVG Free Edition (Grisoft Inc., www.grisoft.com). And double-check your AV with the free, online-only scanners available at www.pandasoftware.com/activescan and http://housecall.trendmicro.com

8. If you have a wireless network, turn on the security features: Use MAC filtering, turn off SSID broadcast, and even use WEP with the biggest key you can get. For more, check out our wireless section or see the expanded coverage in Your Unwired World in our next issue.

9. Join a respectable e-mail security list, such as the one found at our own Security Supersite at http://security.ziffdavis.com, so that you learn about emerging threats quickly and can take proper precautions.

10. Be skeptical of things on the Internet. Don't assume that e-mail "From:" a particular person is actually from that person until you have further reason to believe it's that person. Don't assume that an attachment is what it says it is. Don't give out your password to anyone, even if that person claims to be from "support."

How to Set Up Outlook in Android

The Android phone is a Google-based phone that runs on the Google Android operating system. Some examples of the Android phone include the HTC EVO, the Motorola Defy and the Samsung Fascinate. Android offers a variety of mobile apps, Wi-Fi, mobile email including built-in Gmail, a Google Web browser, a voice recorder, a video recorder and a media player. Because its default email client is Gmail, the Android phone does not provide a simple method of connecting to your Outlook email. There are apps to help you do this, such as DejaOffice for your Android to hold your Outlook email client and CompanionLink software to sync your Outlook email to your Android phone.

Instructions

Launch your Web browser and navigate to "companionlink.com." Click the "Android" link and click the "Sync Android With Outlook" link. Click the "14-Day Free Trial" CompanionLink download. Save the download to your desktop. Double-click the download to install it onto your computer.

Connect your Android phone to your computer by inserting one end of its USB cord into the computer's USB port and the other end into the Android's data port.

Tap the Android's "Market" icon to open its app store. Type "DejaOffice" into the "Search" field. Double-click the "DejaOffice" icon to install the app onto your phone. It is an office suite application that allows you to conveniently access your Outlook email client on your Android.

Double-click the "CompanionLink" icon to open the program. Wait for it to recognize your Android. Select what data you want to sync from Outlook, such as your contacts, emails, tasks and calendar. Choose how often you want to sync your data. Click "Sync." Your Outlook data will be synced with your Android and stored within your "DejaOffice" app.

Open a Command Prompt window and leave it open.
Close all open programs.
Click Start, Run and enter TASKMGR.EXE
Go to the Processes tab and End Process on Explorer.exe.
Leave Task Manager open.
Go back to the Command Prompt window and change to the directory the AVI (or other undeletable file) is located in.
At the command prompt type DEL where is the file you wish to delete.
Go back to Task Manager, click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the GUI shell.
Close Task Manager.

Open Notepad.exe

Click File>Save As..>

locate the folder where ur undeletable file is

Choose 'All files' from the file type box

click once on the file u wanna delete so its name appears in the 'filename' box

put a " at the start and end of the filename
(the filename should have the extension of the undeletable file so it will overwrite it)

click save,

It should ask u to overwrite the existing file, choose yes and u can delete it as normal

Here's a manual way of doing it. I'll take this off once you put into your first post zain.

1. Start
2. Run
3. Type: command
4. To move into a directory type: cd c:\*** (The stars stand for your folder)
5. If you cannot access the folder because it has spaces for example Program Files or Kazaa Lite folder you have to do the following. instead of typing in the full folder name only take the first 6 letters then put a ~ and then 1 without spaces. Example: cd c:\progra~1\kazaal~1
6. Once your in the folder the non-deletable file it in type in dir - a list will come up with everything inside.
7. Now to delete the file type in del ***.bmp, txt, jpg, avi, etc... And if the file name has spaces you would use the special 1st 6 letters followed by a ~ and a 1 rule. Example: if your file name was bad file.bmp you would type once in the specific folder thorugh command, del badfil~1.bmp and your file should be gone. Make sure to type in the correct extension.

You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

Attention:

1- This DVD is designed for Non-Apple x86 Intel CPU (or compatible) computers.

Requirements for OSX86:

3- Make sure that the md5 checksum of your iATKOS iso image matches the one posted on our website. Do this MD5 check just before mounting or doing anything with the iso image! Otherwise you may have a faulty DVD image. Use quality media/burner and burn slowly.

4- MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF YOUR Hardware IDs, Device IDs and device names before installing this system. This is very important. If you aren't sure what devices/hardware you own nor its IDs, then 3 options:

-Boot iATKOS S3 DVD, run "Hardware Info" from Utilities menu and take notes.
-Fire up a Linux Live CD (ie. Ubuntu Live CD), type "lspci -nn" in terminal and take notes.
-Windowsers, get Everest Ultimate Edition and take note of your hardware.

5- Do a google search or surf to InsanelyMac, Hackint0sh, our forum, related OSX86 sites or wiki to find out if your hardware is supported or not. OSX86 does not support a wide range of hardwares like Linux and Windows. Make sure that it is supported before you install. This is very important because after installation you may ask like "how can I get this hardware to work" and people would simply slap you with "it will never work". This little search will avoid your frustration and anger! Extending your lifespan!

6- If something goes wrong, please don't panic, Scroll down for the Troubleshooting guide. If that fails, take a screenshot (or a picture) of what went wrong and post it in the forums. Make sure you have done the 3 Revival steps and troubleshooting steps before posting in the forum!

7- Do not forget one thing: IF THE INSTALL ENDS WITH SUCCESS, THEN MOST LIKELY IT CAN RUN ON YOUR HARDWARE. This means if you have a major booting error after installation like kernel panic, "still waiting for root device" error, hang on grey apple screen etc. then this is mostly related to your faulty selections during install, read the instructions carefully and do a very basic install until you boot your new system with success.

HP Laser Printer

The most common technique used in HP Laser Printer is to use cold resetting. Once cold resetting is done, the printer settings are restored to default factory levels. What needs to be kept in mind while using cold resetting is that the settings in the control panel of the printer will also go back to the default factory level. For resetting the NVRAM, the printer needs to be switched off and then the ‘Go’ key needs to be pressed for about 20 seconds while switching the printer back on.

HP LaserJet 3si – Press and hold ‘Menu’ until Configuration Menu is displayed. Then, navigate through the menu to display ‘Service Message=ON’. Finally, turn it ‘off’ and press ‘Enter’.

HP LaserJet 4si and 5si – Press and hold ‘Menu’ until Configuration Menu is displayed. Then, press ‘Item’ to display ‘Service Message=OFF’. Finally, press ‘Enter’ and then ‘Online’.

Dell printers

Samsung printers

For resetting a Samsung printer, you will need to press ‘Menu’ # 1 9 3 4 in quick succession. When this is done, the display shows a message ‘Tech’. If your are running XP, Download and follow THIS GUIDE: http ://ub3r.1337. cx/xp before doing anything else [not required for external USB drives]!
The installer *may* not work correctly on XP, its recommended to install from 7/Vista.

1. Extract the archive to a different location than your USB drive (e.g. desktop)
using Winrar or 7zip. [DO NOT EXTRACT IT TO THE USB DRIVE!] Make a backup of
your USB drive, it will be formatted during the installation.
2. Right click installer.bat, press Run as administrator and follow the on-screen
instructions. (If you are sure that your USB drive is formatted as NTFS with 4k
cluster size you can use the alternative installer instead.)
3.a: Insert the USB drive into (any) computer [without any hubs!], (re)start it
and press F8, F9, F11, F12, option or another key depending on your hardware.
A menu should appear, choose your USB drive from it. You can also change the
boot device order in the bios[press ctrl + s, F2, F10 etc.]. Read the motherboard
manual or Google it. (This method works on computers that can boot from USB.)

3.b: Burn the bootloader to an empty CD [run "burn bootloader.bat"], insert the CD
and the USB drive to (any) computer, (re)start it and choose "USB" from the menu.
(This method will work on almost any computer.)

Thats it, enjoy carrying a full copy of Win 7 Ultimate in your pocket!

[extra]: 7 Ultimate supports ANY language! In order to change it to your native
language go to start, type update and press "windows update". Then click "check for
updates", select the languages you want to install and wait. [I don't recommend
installing any other updates as it may destroy the crack] Finally set the language
by going to start - control panel - clock language and region - change display
language. Enjoy using your portable windows in your native language! [Don't forget
to install your network and display drivers first!]

[Optional:] If your drive is bigger than 8GB you may want to increase the size
of the virtual system drive of your new Windows in order to gain more disk space:
1) browse to your usb drive and move the 7USBEditionByiMortaluz.vhd somewhere
else (e.g. desktop)
2) start VHDResizer.exe and select this file
3) press "save as" and browse to you usb drive again. Call the file
7USBEditionByiMortaluz [It wont work if you call it something else!] and press
save
4) Choose the size depending on the size of your usb drive and press resize. Get
yourself a cup of coffee, its going to take long time.
5) When you boot your new portable windows for the first time - press start
menu, type partition and hit enter. Right click 7USBEditionByiMortaluz and
choose "extend volume". Keep pressing next.

Recovery: If your personal portable Windows does no longer boot, you can repair
it with the included "fix boot.bat" tool.
If it doesn't help, copy 7USBEditionByiMortaluz.vhd from your usb drive
to your desktop, reinstall Win7 USB Edition, copy the 7USBEditionByiMortaluz.vhd
file back to the USB drive (replace the existing file). No files will be lost!

You can mount the virtual system partition from any other Windows 7 installation!
Go to start, type partition, press "create and format disk partitions". Press
action - attach VHD and browse to the 7USBEditionByiMortaluz.vhd file. You can
then access (or recover) all your files.

New in version 2.0:
-Lots of fixes, a completely new installer, can now be installed to any USB drive!

Additional info:
This is a fully functional and cracked copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x86. I dont
recommend updating it with Windows Update, as this can make the crack no longer
work, do it at your own risk. Bare in mind that most USB sticks are slower than
disks and that performance may suffer.

Here are some maintenance tasks that are important:

General Computer Maintenance Tips:

Keep all of your working files in one folder. The My Documents folder is offered by
Windows expressly for this purpose. The benefits of keeping all your files in one
place are multiple. One, you know where all your files are, two, it's easy to back
them all up at once, and three, your machine will run faster.

Don't put your personal files on the root of the C: drive. If you store a large number
of files in the root folder, you could corrupt your disk file table which could lead to a
"NTLDR is missing" error message when you boot the computer. Very bad. If you
have personal files on the C: drive now, move them to the My Documents folder.

Keep at least 100 MB of your C: free for Windows to use. Maxing out your drive may
result in Windows dumping data to your hard drive, or your computer will run really,
really slow.

Uninstall programs that you are not using. But don’t just delete the program.

Remove it correctly so you won’t cause Windows errors.
If you download a zip file and expand it, delete the original zip file when you are
done.

If you aren’t already using one, get a good surge protector and plug your computer
and peripherals into it. If you live in an area with bad lightening storms, unplug you
computer and peripherals during the storm.

Use an antivirus program such as BitDefender, McAfee, Norton, and Panda. You
really need one if you want your computer to keep running smoothly. An antivirus
program will make sure no "bad" stuff is allowed into the system.

Practice safe computing. Don't accept software or downloads for which you didn’t
ask. Delete any suspicious email without opening it. And even if the email came from
your best friend, don't open any email attachments with the following extensions: *
.exe, .com, .vbs, .bat, .mdb, .reg, and .js

Do not let a lot of programs load when starting up your computer. Uninstall or delete
programs that start up as soon as you start up your computer.

Use a firewall if you have a high speed internet connection. A firewall will prevent
your computer from getting "hijacked". You may not be aware of it, but your
computer may have been hacked at least once. Hackers use search programs to
seek out computers at random. Get a firewall program and use it.

We all know that Windows Phone 7 is the new smart Phone out in the market and since it is altogether a new platform by itself, there are few things which you might not know about Windows Phone.

Rearrange / remove your tiles
Tap on the tile and hold for few seconds and the tile will come to the edit mode. Clicking on the right top pin will unpin the tile from the screen. You can also drag and drop to any place of the screen and tap again on the tile to release to normal mode.
Add application / contact to home tiles
Tap and hold on the application / contact and a context menu will appear where you select an option “Pin to start”
Link / Unlink people
Windows phone considers every contact of you in email accounts, SIM, Facebook and other accounts to “People”. By default Windows phone links similar names and if something is not linked, then you can link them by selecting the contact and tap the “chain” icon which will show similar contacts, if it is not shown you can search for the contact and link. This can be used for the unlink the same way.
Hide only Facebook contacts
If you don’t want to see the contacts in Facebook who doesn’t have any other contact like email or phone then select Settings –> applications –> people, select “Only add Facebook info to existing contacts”.
Adding email accounts
Settings –> email & accounts –> Add any account.
Changing the signature of mail
By default, Windows phone adds a signature “Sent from windows phone” to all the messages you send. However, you can change them by opening your mail click on the ellipsis (…) at the right bottom and tap the “settings”.
View other folders of mail
If you are able to see only inbox, then it’s the way Windows phone syncs your email account. It doesn’t show any other folders like “Sent Items” and other custom folders in the mail by default. You can add them by opening the mail, tap”folder” icon and select “Show all folders” and select the folders you want to sync.
Where are my older mails
If you can see only latest mails, then Windows phone by default syncs only the past 3 days mails.To customize, open the mail and tap on ellipsis then select settings –> Sync settings and change the number of days you want to keep the mail.
Select multiple mails
Open the mail, tap the second button on the bottom which will show the check boxes to the left of every message allowing you to select multiple mails for delete.
There is a much faster way by tapping on the left most extreme of your mail.
Using cursors
If you aren’t able to find any cursor keys in the key pad, then be informed that there aren’t any. For cursor, tap and hold on the text area and the cursor will appear just above your finger tip. Drag it and drop anywhere you want.
Caps lock
Double tap or tap and hold on the shift button which will switch on caps lock. Tap again to release.
Search anywhere
There is a dedicated search button on the right bottom of the front side of the phone which will show the search for a corresponding place you are. e.g.) If you are in “people”, it will search for people and if you are in “market place” it will search for apps.
Lock your screen.
Your screen can be locked by pressing the power button once. Press again to release.
Disable camera when locked
You can access camera even when your screen is locked by a full and long press on the camera button.However, this can be disabled by Settings –> Swipe to applications –> pictures + camera and switch off “Allow the camera button to wake up the phone”.

Browsing desktop version
The internet explorer in windows phone by default searches and displays the mobile version of the site you are browsing. If you always want the desktop version to be browsed, settings –> applications –> internet explorer –> Desktop version
Talk to your phone when locked
If you don’t want to unlock your phone when you want to talk to your phone for getting an operation done, then select Settings –> speech and select “Use speech when phone is locked”.
Change the background of pictures

Xirrus Wi-Fi Monitor packs a lot of useful information into a single gadget, maybe too much. For me, the Xirrus Wi-Fi Monitor gadget seems a bit "heavy" with the radar display running all the time and the huge Xirrus logo. Still, it's powerful gadget and you might find it really useful.

5. System Monitor Gadget

The System Monitor gadget for Windows 7 is an excellent multifunction monitor. System Monitor can track CPU usage (up to quad core) and RAM usage but also can display internal and external IP addresses, the current time, battery usage, and even has a wireless network monitor.
System Monitor is very well designed and has numerous options. Nearly every aspect of this gadget is configurable.
I highly recommend that you try the System Monitor Windows 7 gadget.

6. margu-NotebookInfo2 Gadget

The margu-NotebookInfo2 Windows gadget has a funny name but it's serious about packing a lot of system monitoring into a single gadget.
With the margu-NotebookInfo2 gadget, you can track system uptime, CPU and RAM use, wireless network strength, battery level, and much more.
margu-NotebookInfo2 is put together very well and should be an excellent addition to any Windows 7 or Windows Vista PC.

11. GPU Observer Gadget

The GPU Observer gadget for Windows 7 gives you a constant look at your video card's temperature, fan speed, and more.
GPU Observer shows the GPU temperature and, if reported by your card, the PCB temperature, fan speed, GPU load, VPU load, memory load, and system clocks.
Most NVIDIA and ATI desktop cards are supported by GPU Observer, plus some NVIDIA mobile cards. No Intel, S3, or Matrox GPUs are supported.
Multiple cards are supported but not simultaneously. You'll have to choose which video card you'd like stats displayed for in the GPU Observer options.

13. CPU Meter III Gadget

CPU Meter III is, you guessed it, a CPU resource meter gadget for Windows 7. In addition to tracking CPU usage, CPU Meter III also tracks memory usage.
There's nothing that special about CPU Meter III - it only tracks one CPU and meter display isn't quite as polished as other similar gadgets.
However, there is one redeeming feature - it's responsive. Very responsive! It appears to be live and not a one or two second update like other gadgets. This I love. The other thing I like is how big the gadget is. Some CPU meter gadgets are so small it's hard to see what's going on.
Definitely try CPU Meter III out. I think you'll like it.

14. Drive Activity Gadget

The Drive Activity gadget for Windows 7 graphs the workload of your hard drives. Seeing how hard your hard disks are working could be useful in determining where you might have performance issues.
There are a few options in the Drive Activity gadget - you can choose the type of graph to display (polygon or lines) and also which of your hard drives to include in the display. My biggest issue with this Windows gadget was the inability to change colors. Blue on black is unlikely to satisfy many users... personally, I find it hard to see.

The Uptime Windows gadget keeps track of how long your Windows 7 system has been powered on. That's all it does. It resets every time the system is restarted.

System uptime trackers are useful to show how stable (or unstable) an operating system is since an unstable or error-prone system will usually need restarted on a regular basis.

The AlertCon gadget is a unique one. AlertCon provides a visual representation of the current state of security across the Internet. Large scale issues like fast spreading malware and major security holes would prompt an increase in the threat level.
IBM's Internet Security Systems group operates the AlertCon system.

If you'd like a DEFCON-style representation of Internet-wide issues right on your desktop, the AlertCon gadget fits the bill. Just don't expect it swing up and down regularly - the Internet as a whole isn't typically under serious threats.
